On the occasion of COP23, Nicolas Hulot, Minister of Ecological and Solidarity Transition announced the launch of "My project for the planet", in partnership with ADEME and the French Agency for Biodiversity (AFB).
In order to directly involve the French in climate actions, Nicolas Hulot announced a draft participatory budget at the launch of the Climate Plan on 6 July 2017. Through Mon projet pour la planète, citizens are invited to propose projects in the fields of energy, circular economy and biodiversity.
This call for citizens' initiatives aims to support and help develop exemplary and innovative concrete actions, bringing together a diversity of actors, particularly from civil society, to fight against climate change and to improve the daily living environment, with a view to the potential spin-off of certain projects on the national territory.

We all have a duty to protect and implement the Paris Agreement. That is why the Climate Plan, which I presented last July, provides for participatory budgets allowing, for the first time, everyone to make their contribution. "My Project for the Planet" is a tool to enable every citizen to propose a project and support exemplary and innovative actions to fight climate change in concrete terms. Whether in renewable energies, the circular economy or biodiversity, your creativity, your ideas and your desire to have a positive impact on our future are welcome. You have the means to protect the planet. »
Nicolas Hulot
My project for the planet is a call for all good ideas because climate change is an issue that concerns us all and requires the involvement of everyone. And it is for this reason that the Climate Plan offers every French person the opportunity to take part in the public policies that we engage in within the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition. Thanks to these participatory budgets, you will now be able to propose or choose an initiative to preserve biodiversity and encourage the circular economy, for example, and thus take concrete action by getting involved. A new adventure is beginning. We are counting on you! »

The Paris Agreement has a universal scope; the Climate Plan belongs to all French people. Involving you actively in the concrete implementation of the means to fight climate change was a matter of course. Moreover, the energy transition will take place in the territories, with your experience and your experiments. Or will not! Submit your projects for the deployment of renewable energies, give your voice to your favourite project on www.monprojetpourlaplanete.gouv.fr
