Finance Innovation and HSBC France launch Innov'Cup, a competition for FinTech and InsurTech
Ahe Finance Innovation Global Competitiveness Cluster and HSBC France announce the launch of the Innov'Cup competition. The aim of this competition is to reward the most innovative Fintech and Insurtech companies in the fields of credit risk and insurance.
This competition is aimed at startups based in the Ile de France region, members or future members of Finance Innovation, who propose innovations in terms of Open Banking and can respond to one of the two following challenges:
- Credit risk: the challenge is to generate innovative scorings in the context of particular and SME credit risk within an open APIs environment (challenge endowed with 50,000 euros).
- Insurance: the challenge is to participate in the diversification of a bancassurer's distribution channels and to propose a new business model that complies with the rules on the fight against fraud, money laundering and financial crime (challenge with a budget of 25,000 euros).

Only six per category will have the opportunity to pitch on Wednesday 28 November in front of personalities from the Fintech ecosystem, including Joëlle Durieux, Managing Director of Finance Innovation. The jury will be chaired by Philippe Moiroud, COO of HSBC France. The two winners will be announced at the Fin&Tech Community Day on December 12, organised by Finance Innovation.
For more than 10 years, the Finance Innovation world competitiveness cluster has been pursuing the vocation of supporting all Fintech and Insurtech companies in the region in their development in France and abroad. This operation is another example of the cluster's interest in the growth and development of start-ups.
