
A teacher-researcher at Sciences Po, Pascal Perrineau has been named one of the five guarantors of the great national debate, alongside Nadia Bellaoui, Guy Canivet, Isabelle Falque-Pierrotin and Jean-Paul Bailly.
Nommitted by the government and the presidents of the EESC, the National Assembly and the Senate, the five "guarantors" will have to "guarantee the independence" of the major consultation launched by the government on 15 January.
Professor at Sciences Po and former director of the Centre d'études politiques de Sciences Po (Cevipof), Pascal Perrineau was appointed on 17 January 2019 as one of the 5 guarantors of the great national debate. How does he envisage the debate? What will be its objectives? Answer in video :
Pascal Perrineau teaches at Sciences Po the introduction to political science, political life in Europe, political life under the Fifth Republic, analysis of attitudes and political forces as well as analysis of voting (with Anne Muxel). He is in charge of the Political Life programme at Sciences Po.
His research focuses mainly on electoral sociology, the analysis of the extreme right in France and Europe, and the interpretation of the new cleavages at work in European societies.
Pascal Perrineau is also President of the Alumni Association of Sciences Po.
