New partners for the second promotion of the "Specialised Master AI MOVE" MINES ParisTech - "Artificial Intelligence and Movement in Industries and Creation".

L’Artificial Intelligence, which is at the centre of discussions and debates, goes far beyond the digital domain because of the changes it can bring about. Providing intelligent machines for better collaboration has not only economic but also social consequences. Businesses and society are now faced with a real need to find professionals with AI expertise coupled with the use of human movement in the interaction between man and machine. The AIMove Specialized Master thus wishes to promote an interdisciplinary commitment and to take up the industrial challenges of AI applications in relation to the body and movement.

Seven partners: three from the European academic world and four from the corporate world join forces for this Specialized Master's Degree in English dedicated to Artificial Intelligence.
MINES ParisTech therefore sees a new partnership with MDP maxon motor France (France), Neurodatalab (Russia & US), HAAS avocats (France), complementing those with IRCAM Centre Pompidou (France), Idiap Research Institute (Switzerland) and the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (Greece) for the AIMove Specialised Master, a postgraduate diploma entitled "Artificial Intelligence and Movement, in Industries and Creation" launched in October 2018.
This new programme meets the objectives of the School's strategic plan to adapt its teaching to the challenges of tomorrow and to train the scientists and engineers of the 20th century.

The AIMove program is aimed at :
- Experts in motion engineering, capable of taking responsibility for an activity requiring motion capture, artificial learning and interaction through gesture ;
- Project managers capable of designing, building and operating interactive systems or intelligent workspaces, enhancing the user's sensory-motor and cognitive capacities through a global knowledge of the sector and of monitoring technology.

The Specialized Master includes six months of courses and an extracurricular program with workshops, international conferences of prominent and diverse personalities around AI, a Think-Tank and a Summer School, implemented with the association GAIIA (Gesture & Artificial Intelligence in Industry and Arts) in the form of a "learning expedition" in a European country to discover companies, research centers and a city with many AI projects centered on the human being. Students complete this training with a compulsory internship in a company or research institute in France or Europe.

"This unique course brings together the top European professionals in the sector to train future engineers who are experts in AI and human movement. The industries concerned are the factory of the future, the automotive and autonomous vehicle industries, the medical sector and the cultural and creative industries. The Expert Engineer in Motion and AI will be responsible for Machine Learning, Collaborative Robotics, IoT, Innovation Manager for Factory 4.0, design of interactive systems based on human motion...". underlines Dr. Sotiris Manitsaris, Head of the MS AIMove and Researcher at the Robotics Center of MINES ParisTech.

Registration and recruitment for the 2nd promotion are open until 10 July 2019 (with possible reopening of admissions during the summer period) to graduates with five years of higher education and four years of higher education with three years of professional experience. A level of English at least equivalent to an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score of 6.5 is required.
