This is the unmissable event for creators of works made from recycled materials from 22 December 2012 to 6 January 2013 at the Espace d'Animation des Blancs Manteaux Paris.
At a time when everything tells us to preserve our planet, the artists of the Metamorphosis give a second wind to what we would throw away, and make a creation out of a material without nobility.
60 artists present their creations, obtained from recycled materials, metamorphosed, diverted... An unusual, amusing, surprising visit, a must do!
Since 2003, the exhibition "The Metamorphosis of Materials" has been the unmissable event of the Parisian Christmas holidays. Sixty creators exhibit their works of art whose originality lies in the fact that they have been created from recovered objects, from materials deviated from their initial function: from these forms and materials, the imagination of the artists is boundless. From small decorative objects that are amusing, playful and even poetic, to incredible unique pieces of furniture, the ever-increasing number of visitors at each edition will be able to find here the last minute Christmas gift or the unusual object they fell in love with.

"La Métamorphose des Matériaux" has acquired an undeniable reputation for quality: the creators, most of whom have been loyal since the beginning of the event, do not fail to come and test their latest creation with visitors, curious about their know-how and seduced by the ease of discussion with the artists who generously share their passion.
There is something for everyone: paintings from pieces of driftwood, colourful and phosphorescent paintings created with road signs or carved metal armchairs but also wire sculptures or small terracotta figures. Something to amuse or move according to your sensibilities.
So many unusual and useful creations to delight families as well as fans of the new! Ideally located in the heart of the Marais district, the Espace d'animations des Blancs Manteaux is a former hall of almost 1000m². Its location makes it an extremely busy place at weekends and during the holidays. Tourists from all over the world, national visitors and Parisian neighbours regularly meet there during various events, to the delight of the exhibitors.
Catalogue of the exhibition, offered in a tin originally intended for anchovy fillets rolled in capers.
