The two key themes of the CARTES 2012 exhibition

Start

The 2012 edition of the CARTES exhibition will take place from 6 to 8 November 2012 at the Paris-Nord-Villepinte Exhibition Centre. This year, the two main themes will be: mobile payment and security in the Cloud. They are two major challenges for the next five years in the field of Smart Technologies and especially authentication.

Mobile payment

The year 2011 was marked by a strong surge in smartphone usage, a notable growth in the popularity of mobile banking applications and an unprecedented number of mobile payment initiatives. However, to enable this activity to unfold, many challenges remain to be met and close collaboration must be established between players from various fields (banks, telephone operators, telephone and payment terminal manufacturers, service providers or aggregators and merchants). This is why CARTES 2012 has chosen to focus once again on mobile payment and to welcome all the players involved in this field. The "Mobile Payment" pavilion will be specifically dedicated to them.

Security in the Cloud

In 2012, security will be the number one priority of Cloud Computing! Indeed, the explosion of cloud services and the multiplication of connected portable objects invites, today more than ever, to revisit the issues of trust, security and interoperability related to the access, increasingly mobile, to data, applications and services in the Cloud. CARTES 2012 will therefore highlight security in the Cloud, a major challenge for the coming years. Players from the Smart Security Industry and IT Security, their suppliers and partners will be brought together in the new sector of the show dedicated to "Security in the Cloud".
