The Medicen Paris competitiveness cluster

Created in 2005, the Medicen Paris Region global competitiveness cluster aims to make Paris Region the European leader in the fields of diagnostic and therapeutic innovation as well as high technology for health, and to enable it to become one of the world's leading centres for translational medicine.

Medicen Paris Region's partnership approach is in line with the logic of economic value creation in Ile-de-France stimulated by innovation, which is at the very basis of the design of competitiveness clusters, and which is reflected in three priorities:

- to develop growth and employment on buoyant markets, in a successful dynamic relationship between IJE/SMEs, large companies and academic laboratories, clinical centres and training centres by promoting the transfer of innovative technologies ;

- Strengthen the international competitiveness of the French "health and high technologies for health" sector by promoting its players and stimulating the Paris Region's capacity for innovation;

- contribute to the attractiveness of the Paris Region and the dynamism of its health sector.
