Eole Water is the company that invented the first wind turbine for producing drinking water by air condensation. This wind turbine makes it possible to supply drinking water to isolated regions.
Today, 150 million people in the world live without access to drinking water in remote areas. Eole Water's vocation is to bring drinking water to these communities.
The Earth's atmosphere is charged with moisture. It is a huge reserve of fresh water: about 13,000 km3. Eole Water has created an innovative technology capable of transforming this humidity into drinking water.
This is achieved by means of a moisture condenser with an exchange surface equivalent to one metre wide and five kilometres long. It is equipped with a revolutionary "food grade" stainless steel alloy, specially adapted for the production of drinking water. It allows the water creation process to continue over several decades without the risk of corrosion.

The water is then circulated through a five-stage treatment system, including an ultraviolet filter, to make it completely safe for drinking. The quality of the harvested water exceeds the drinking water standards required by the World Health Organization.
The water production per machine can reach 1500 litres of drinking water per day depending on the climate.
This innovative technology is part of an approach linked to sustainable development because air, wind or sun are the only consumables. There are no CO² emissions, no drilling into the water table or pumping into surface water.
After four years of work, Marc Parent, President and founder, has completed the development of his WMS50 (Water Maker System) model. He then decided to create Eole Water SAS. One year later, thanks to the participation of a French venture capital fund, the design of a new wind turbine, the WMS1000 was launched.
To date, the first wind turbine is being installed in Abu Dhabi. "We are working exclusively with public authorities to create villages that are completely self-sufficient in water and energy," explains Marc Parent.
On July 25th, Thibault Janin, Marketing and Communication Director of Eole Water was the guest of Malcom Taylor during the program "The Business Breakfast" on the Emirati radio Dubai Eye 103.8. On this occasion he was able to present the wind turbine: listen to the interview.
