1% Art Market: And the winners are ...

Start
Three winners win the first edition of the new support scheme for artistic creation of the City of Paris and Crédit Municipal de Paris, the 1% Marché de l'Art, an innovative scheme for artists in the Paris Region in the field of visual arts.

Anstated by Anne Hidalgo during the Paris Council in May 2018 and launched on the occasion of FIAC 2018 by the City of Paris and the Crédit Municipal de Paris (CMP), the "1% marché de l'art" is the new support mechanism for artistic creation for artists in the Paris Region in the field of visual arts.

The prize money for this first edition will be distributed among the winners, up to a maximum of €30,000 per artist. This amount is intended to support the production of an original work and its distribution. Crédit Municipal de Paris, a public institution of the City of Paris, generates nearly €12 million in turnover each year by organising its 80 auctions. It finances this endowment by deducting 1% from the turnover achieved, thus devoting 110,000 euros for this first edition to Paris Region artists in the field of visual arts, to support their production and distribution, particularly internationally.
The "1% art market" is part of the sponsorship and support policy for artistic creation that Crédit Municipal de Paris has been pursuing for nearly ten years.

On Tuesday 9 April 2019, the jury chaired by Fabrice Hergott, Director of the Musée d'Art moderne de la Ville de Paris, selected the winners of the 1% art market of the 2019 edition, whose works will be exhibited in Paris or in the Ile-de-France region, at the time of the 2019 edition of the FIAC :
