Mohammad-Mahmoud Ould Mohamedou

Professeur d'histoire internationale et directeur du département d'histoire internationale de l'Institut universitaire de hautes études à Genève. Il est également professeur invité à l'école doctorale de Sciences Po Paris.

Le professeur Mohamedou a obtenu un doctorat en sciences politiques à la City University de New York. Il a été chercheur en résidence au Centre d'études sur le Moyen-Orient de l'Université de Harvard à Cambridge, Massachusetts, avant de devenir associé de recherche au Ralph Bunche Institute on the United Nations à New York. Il a été directeur de recherche au Conseil international pour l'étude des droits de l'homme, avant de retourner à Harvard où il a été directeur associé du programme sur la politique humanitaire et la recherche sur les conflits, puis directeur adjoint et doyen académique du Centre de politique de sécurité de Genève.

Ses recherches portent sur la violence politique et le terrorisme transnational, la transformation de la guerre, la libéralisation politique et la construction de l'État.
