How, just with your smartphone and a small case, can you now make your presentations, without stress? No more need for a cable, computer or adapter ... From now on, all you have to do is plug in your WeKast and launch your presentation directly on your mobile!
WeKast provides a solution that allows any speaker to make a presentation with perfect control. How can you do it? Just with a smartphone and a small box with integrated wifi that allows you to scroll through the slides without any external technology except a screen and your own smartphone.
Created by Israeli company WeKast, based in Tel Aviv, this small box is on the way to reinvent public speaking thanks to its mobile technology.
The current problem is that there is no process to avoid loading a presentation without it becoming laborious and complicated, as the solutions available on the market generally require between 5 and 20 minutes of configuration. This awkward process involves the use of cables, computers and a wifi connection. Presenters sometimes fall back on the use of a PC which will affect their freedom of movement and their ability to engage with their audience. WeKast eliminates all this preparation time and, thanks to its wireless "plug & cast" technology, allows presenters to move around the room freely while controlling their presentations from a smartphone.
Configuring WeKast involves three simple steps: 1. Plug the device into a display. 2. Open the pre-downloaded application. 3. Select a presentation. This stand-alone solution can be used in any meeting room and works instantly - without the need for cables, internet / wifi or even a laptop.
A proprietary software protocol converts files into a mobile optimized format that is wireless and easily transferable to any projector or TV.
This solution is designed to present slides that will be visible during a presentation exactly as they were originally formatted on the computer: animations, fonts, colors, graphics, video and audio files are operational identically. The integrated WeKast plug-in on PowerPoint sends the files directly to the Android and iOS mobile application. Users can then control the presentation from their device while keeping an eye on the talk time with the timer and comment display in the application.
"After carrying laptops too often, untangling cables, and relying on often unstable wifi networks with sometimes elusive passwords, we knew we needed to create a device that allows for mobile presentations without configuration," he says. explains Noemie Alliel, CEO and co-founder of WeKast.. "A significant R&D phase was necessary, but we are delighted to finally share our project with the Kickstarter community. With their support and input, we know we can create the perfect presentation solution.
WeKast also offers "WeKast Engage", a social tool included in the application to help presenters socialize their presentations by sharing messages, encouraging feedback and allowing follow-up with participants. The feature allows live slides to be instantly sent to other devices in the audience. Participants can take their own notes. "WeKast Engage also offers the ability to gather audience opinions and questions, comments and suggestions, as well as other social functions.
Today, after raising more than $61,000 via Kickstarter, the company continues to move forward with a new crowdfunding campaign on the Indiegogo. Each WeKast is presold for $99. Scheduled to air in February 2017.
