Metamorphosis of managers in the digital and artificial intelligence era, by Cécile Déjoux and Emmanuelle Léon - Preface by Joël de Rosnay

Pearson Edition, February 2018 - 229 Pages
Cow to manage in the age of digital and artificial intelligence? Cécile Dejoux and Emmanuelle Léon have written this visionary book, driven by the desire to help managers find their place and redefine their role in this new environment.
We have entered the so-called "digital" civilization, in which mankind retains an essential role provided that he understands and appropriates the transformations underway (artificial intelligence, robots, digital platforms) at the level of actors and uses. The authors have chosen to analyse the situation through three prisms:
Being Because transforming organizations means first of all transforming oneself, managing today implies the acquisition of new strategic skills such as digital skills, agility and Design Thinking.
The location because dematerializing work leads more than ever to the question of the usefulness of traditional offices and to consider workspaces as a source of performance and fulfillment.
The others Because managing is no longer about giving the "the" but the tempo, you have to learn how to collaborate again, face to face and at a distance, with your collaborators, robots and artificial intelligence, and develop new skills.
Written by four hands, based on international research, the book is also supported by some twenty interviews with managers, players in the digital transformation (Accenture, Air France, BETC, Danone, Ecole Polytechnique d'Assurances, Expectra, Hopwork, IBM, ING, Julhiet Sterwen, Manpower, Numa, Orange, Randstad, Renault, Select TT, Sony Music, Steelcase, Thalès, Veolia).
The authors are guided by one conviction: the metamorphosis of the manager is essential if he wants to preserve humanist values within this new civilization and become a "manager augmented" by artificial intelligence.
"The objective of this book, a place for debate and debate, written from more than 20 interviews with people in charge of the digital transformation, is to decode the digital civilization and to propose a framework for action to achieve the digital transformation of individuals, employees and organizations. As the authors point out, this transformation can only be achieved by building a magic triangle that could be symbolized by three words: being, places and others. Indeed, the key to success is to take into account the human and the social bond.
