Page Karma, the tool that reveals the behavior of French people and brands on Facebook

The French, Brands and Facebook: Omnicom Media France and Social Lab launch Page Karma. For the very first time in France, Omnicom Media France and Social Lab present Page Karma, an exclusive tool that reveals how the French interact with brands on Facebook. Surprisingly...

Why Page Karma?

Today, Facebook has 25 million active members in France. Every day, 66% of them connect to Facebook and thousands of French brands want to take advantage of this space for communication and conversation.

The commitment between a brand and its fans has thus become crucial, because it is precisely this commitment that will determine whether a brand appears more or less visibly in the "news feed" of its fans. It is therefore essential for marketers to understand what generates this engagement, to measure it and to be able to compare it within the same product category, for example.

"We found that there was no tool to really understand how Facebook users in France behave towards Brands and Media and that no ranking offered the possibility to accurately and credibly compare the dynamics of the French Pages, as the existing rankings are incomplete and Facebook itself provides very little data on this subject," explains Yves Baudechon, co-founder of page Karma.

"This is why we have developed Page Karma, a unique technological solution that measures, compares and improves the influence of the Brands' Facebook Pages in France, with the stated ambition of making it the reference.

Exclusive Karma Page at Omnicom Media France

In France, Page Karma is launching in partnership with Omnicom Media France, whose management directly perceived the potential of the tool and wanted to obtain exclusive use of it, thus becoming the only French media agency to have Page Karma.

Social Lab France already collaborates with Omnicom Media group on various customer issues, this trust is a strong reassurance on the seriousness of the approach.

Christophe Dané, Managing Director in charge of digital activities at Omnicom Media Group, explains the relevance of this collaboration:

"We were looking for a tool that would give us a level of information and strategic analysis for our clients' social media presence. We detected on Social Lab's tool a first of its kind information never equaled on this type of tool. Advertisers need a reference in this sector, analysis that allows them to act quickly. The Page Karma tool meets all of these criteria point for point. Flexible, simple and providing exclusive information, Page Karma is the essential tool to manage its strategy on Facebook. »

How does Page Karma work?

By tracking in real time more than 2,200 brand or media pages in France, Page Karma measures with unparalleled accuracy how commitment is built on every publication on every page. As soon as a comment is made, or an "I like" obtained, it is followed by Page Karma. This makes it possible to analyze very precisely the dynamics of a specific page but also of a whole category (Cars for example) or a whole country. Page Karma therefore allows you to know precisely, day by day of the week, when the French interact with the brands on Facebook.

This information is crucial. And today nobody has it. So it's a real "scoop". Page Karma's creators have even gone so far as to analyze how men and women interact with brands. If a Page wants to reach men or women, for every day of the week, Page Karma knows when is the best time to post about them.

From September 2012, brands and media will be able to access all of this data directly via the Page Karma web platform:

- All the information collected by Page Karma on each French page will be accessible via a dashboard that will give both the general state of their karma (their radiance), but also all the components of this karma: vitality of their community, quality of the commitment obtained, relevance of their publishing strategy, quality of the consideration given to fans' comments, optimization of their page and a notion of "feeling" (positive, neutral or negative feeling of the fans).

- An application called "Post Guru" will allow the Community Managers of Page Karma's customers to know for the day of the week of their choice, according to gender (Male, Female or Indifferent), the best publication time. Thanks to Page Karma, the manager of a page will have access to statistics that can be directly used to improve the Return on Investment of his Page.

Page Karma analyses the French market in depth, but is also active in Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain and has just signed a partnership in Brazil.
