We have a message for you...
From its inception over ten years ago, we made a commitment that UP' Magazine would give climate disruption, wildlife extinction, pollution, the quality of our food and the ecological transition the urgent attention and importance that these challenges demand. In 2020, this commitment is reflected in UP' Magazine's partnership with Covering Climate Nowa global collaboration of 300 selected media outlets to strengthen journalistic coverage of climate issues. In September 2022, UP' Magazine joined the Charter for a journalism equal to the ecological emergency.
We promise to keep you informed of the steps we are taking to take responsibility at this decisive moment in our lives. With climate misinformation commonplace, and never more dangerous than today, it's essential that UP' Magazine publishes accurate reports and relays authoritative information - and we won't be silent.
Our editorial independence means we are free to investigate and challenge the inaction of those in power. We will inform our readers about threats to the environment based on scientific facts, not commercial or political interests. And we have made several important changes to our editorial expression to ensure that the language we use faithfully reflects the ecological emergency, but without catastrophism.
UP' Magazine believes that the problems we face in the climate crisis are systemic, and that fundamental societal change is necessary. We will continue to report on the efforts of individuals and communities around the world who are courageously taking a stand for future generations and the preservation of human life on earth. We want their stories to inspire hope.
We hope you'll consider supporting us today. We need your support to continue offering quality, open and independent journalism. Every reader subscription, no matter how small, is precious. Support UP' Magazine from just €1.90 per week - and it only takes a minute. Thank you for your support.
