The Inserm's "Labo des Métiers" opens its doors on 10 Cotobre

Start

Inserm launches Le Labo des Métiers in partnership with SISSO: a 3D immersion to discover the research professions. This resolutely innovative and fun interactive mediation device is designed to make 14-25 year olds aware of all the links that make up the great family of scientific research.
Accessible on www.metiers.inserm.fr from 10 October 2014

Accessible on the Internet from computers, tablets and smartphones, this virtual space will allow young adults, attracted by the research professions but discouraged by presumably long studies, to discover the range of careers offered by the sector.

"What is the daily life of a researcher? What are the studies that lead to this profession? What is the mission of an engineer in a scientific project or a management assistant in a laboratory? So many questions that the "Labo virtuel des Métiers" will try to answer". explains Claire Lissalde, head of the audio-visual unit at Inserm's Department of Scientific Information and Communication.

Immersed in the heart of a laboratory, a voice-over guides the Internet user to meet "real-life" professionals. This is an opportunity to discover the career paths of those involved in biomedical research, and to shed light on professions that are often little-known or considered inaccessible.
Marie, assistant in biological techniques, Stéphanie, researcher and co-leader of an Inserm team, Boris, head of a phenotyping platform, Joanna, animal experimentation technician, Pablo, post-doctoral student, and Lila, secretary/manager of a research unit, will share their passion for their work with you.

The Institut national de la santé et de la recherche médicale is France's leading organization entirely dedicated to biological, medical and population health research. It is positioned along the entire path from the research laboratory to the patient's bedside, with a vocation to study all human diseases, from the most frequent to the rarest.
From BEP level to Bac +8, Inserm covers various research and research support professions within its 300 laboratories and administrations. It was therefore legitimate for this virtual laboratory to come into being.

The creation of SISSO is the result of a common vision: a taste for new technologies and the development of web and multimedia communication. Around this desire, a team of professionals from various backgrounds has been built up over the years.
SISSO proposes the realization of virtual tours for prestigious groups such as: Bouygues Immobilier, the Louvres and the Château de Versailles... or the FIAC 2013: http://vimeo.com/77777727
The SISSO team produces top-of-the-range videos (from institutional to advertising films), as well as the design or redesign of websites and a community management service. For the past four years, the agency's credo has been to bring its clients their know-how while highlighting the best of digital technologies to make each of their projects unique. SISSO is a partner of UNESCO, a member of CLIC and Cap Digital.
