Deprived of a march for the climate, the French call on the rest of the world to march in their name. In the framework of the Climate 21 Coalition, many organisations including FNE, the Nicolas Hulot Foundation, Greenpeace and WWF are launching this Wednesday 25 November MARCH4ME (WALK FOR ME): an exceptional digital device supported by Facebook to connect French people who would have liked to walk in Paris and in some major cities, with all those who will be walking in America, Africa, Asia, Europe ... The latter will represent French walkers online and will be able to display their photos and first names in the parades.
L’climate action is a guarantee of solidarity, stability and peace. Today, when it is more necessary than ever, citizens in France, and particularly in Paris, are unable to participate in the March for Climate. This is a great moment of global mobilization to show the determination of citizens to solve the climate crisis, and to invite Heads of State to make history by engaging the world in a collective response to the climate challenge.
Because the attacks of the last few days have demonstrated the incredible capacity for mobilization and solidarity throughout the planet, because citizens in 57 cities want us to walk alongside them, even symbolically, from New York to Rio via Cape Town there will be a French walker!

The website www.march4me.org will thus organize the connection between the "impeded" marchers and those who will be able to march.
● On the one hand, each "prevented" walker will be able to register by uploading his or her photo and indicating his or her first name, and the first letter of his or her surname and country of origin.
● On the other hand, citizens from all over the world will be able to offer to represent a "hindered" walker in one of the 57 other marches. The principle of registration will be the same: a photo, the first name, the first letter of the surname and the country.
The walker will then be put in a random relationship with another walker, with whom he can exchange, form a pair for the climate and become a friend . These pairs will then be staged in a gallery on the site and a counter will give an idea of the extent of the mobilization. If ever a walker finds himself orphaned because there are not enough walkers available on the site, he will be able to share his situation on social networks and use them to recruit his pair.
More broadly, MARCH4ME is aimed at all other people who cannot walk (countries where there are no marches in particular...): they will be able to virtually carry the message of their commitment and collaborate in the construction of a vast international movement for the climate. Numerous personalities are already mobilizing to participate and publicize the system.
