On May 29th, the tank of a Russian mining group installed on the frozen ground of Arctic Siberia saw its pillars break, releasing 21,000 tons of diesel into the wilderness. The cause of this ecological disaster is attributed to the melting of the permafrost, the permanently frozen ground.
