European Sustainable Development Week: the platform for participation is open!
Opening of the dedicated platform to encourage the organisation and promotion of events on the theme of sustainable development, on the occasion of the European Week for Sustainable Development (ESDW).
Ahe European Week for Sustainable Development (ESDW), organised every year from 30 May to 5 June throughout Europe, aims to promote ecological transition through the promotion of local actions and public awareness of sustainable development.
This year, the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition places the event under the sign of the fight against inequalities, an essential condition for the success of the ecological transition.
A large number of events are offered to the public to publicise both territorial initiatives geared towards sustainable development and ecological and solidarity transition and the players involved in improving our living environment, throughout France: conferences, exhibitions, film screenings, educational projects, visits, workshops... In 2018, many citizens, in 34 countries within and outside the European Union, took part in 6,035 initiatives, including 1,566 in France.
Registration is open to all types of participants: government bodies, research institutes, schools, museums, foundations, associations, companies, startups...
In order to participate, communities, businesses and citizens can therefore go to on the dedicated platform and complete the online form. Each initiative must address one or more of the 17 "Sustainable Development Goals" that cover all areas of ecological transition (health, water quality, clean energy, sustainable cities and communities, etc.).
