In preparation for the United Nations Paris Climate 2015 Conference, Comité 21, on behalf of the Club France Développement Durable, has given a mandate to the Public System and Alliantis to give visibility to the solutions of companies, institutions, local authorities and associations involved in the fight against climate change until COP 21 in Paris in December 2015.
The 21st United Nations Climate Conference (COP 21), which will be held at Le Bourget in December 2015, is already being driven by the COP21 Solutions initiative, which aims to bring together institutions, companies and research centres concerned by the fight against climate change.
In addition to the 40 to 50,000 participants and delegations from 195 countries expected at the end of 2015 at Le Bourget for the 21st climate conference, a whole system is now being put in place to communicate, involve and create the support of the greatest number of people for this issue with its multiple challenges. Thus, the French Committee for Sustainable Development, the Club France Développement Durable and Comité 21 have initiated Solutions COP 21, an operational arm that will contribute to enhancing the value of the event and initiatives of all kinds to meet the climate challenge.
Launched on 9 July 2014, this scheme, of which EpE is a founding member, aims to promote concrete solutions for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to climate change to a wide audience. To mobilize, showcase climate solutions and propose to all the players concerned (networks, companies, institutions, local authorities, associations, training organizations or research and innovation centers) to participate for 18 months and in December 2015 in Paris-Le Bourget and the Grand Palais: showcasing initiatives, solutions and innovations for the climate.
It comes in:
- press conferences and meetings to show how solutions address climate issues,
- a web platform of solutions based on business examples, which will be operational from autumn 2014,
- running events and exhibitions for the general public at the Grand Palais during COP21 from 4 to 10 December 2015.
