According to the Gallup Poll Institute, the five most dangerous countries in the world in 2017 are Venezuela, South Africa, El Salvador, South Sudan and Liberia. With the exception of Venezuela, the other four countries have experienced a civil war, in which South Sudan remains the most dangerous country in the world.
