A neurologist specializing in memory joins the Scientific Council of the B2V Memory Observatory. Neurosciences, human sciences, digital, the only thing missing at the B2V Memory Observatory was medicine. This has been done with the arrival of Dr. Catherine Thomas-Antérion, neurologist specializing in memory. She reinforces the multidisciplinarity that makes this Observatory a unique object of reflection on memory in all its diversity.
Memory is a complex subject that animates and interests public opinion, experts and the media. It is present in societal aspirations: learning, professional performance, relationship to behavioural influences (nutrition, stress, sleep, autonomy of the elderly, intellectual curiosity and expressions of knowledge acquisition), and ageing. It is also a guarantee of individual autonomy and collective bonds.
The aim of the B2V Memory Observatory is to provide multidisciplinary decoding on the understanding of human memories, and thus to approach the means to maintain them in good working order, or even to increase their capacities.
The mission of the B2V Memory Observatory is to provide access for all to the most recent discoveries concerning the different forms of memory that exist, and to share innovations in the field of prevention. The Observatory, with its seven experts capable of dealing with memory from various and varied angles, has decided to broaden its field of research by welcoming a new member.
It was important for its President Francis Eustache to have the point of view of a clinical doctor within the B2V Observatory of Memoirs. For Catherine Thomas Antérion, the multidisciplinarity of studies concerning memory is a very important postulate in the understanding and investigation of memory in all its forms and dimensions. 
Catherine Thomas-Antérion is a neurologist, doctor in neuropsychology. Her thesis focused on the expression of collective memory in neurological diseases. Associate researcher in the Laboratory Studies of Cognitive Mechanisms, University of Lyon 2, she was also president of GRECO (Groupe de Réflexion sur les Evaluations Cognitives) and FARAP (Forum Alzheimer Rhône Alpes des Professionnels). She is a member of the Society of Neurology and the Society of French Language Neuropsychology.
Catherine has also published numerous books such as Art and Neuropsychology (2014), The Subject and its Symptom (2012) or The Labyrinths of Memory (2008) but also scientific articles on unique cases concerning cognitive and/or behavioral symptoms such as Expertise of the memory of new words of the language after head trauma; The thoughts of a lonely cowboy; Graphic and pictorial hyper-creativity in dementia. In Search of Lost Memory or lectures with topics such as Re-learning Highway Code Signs in a Situation of Semantic Dementia, François, Nicolas, Jacques and the Others; Celebrities, Proper Names and Semantic Memory in Neuro-Degenerative Pathologies.
