100 million readers. 40 newspapers worldwide. These are the results of the participation in the 2nd edition of the Impact Journalism Day initiated and coordinated by Sparknews. On September 20, these newspapers published an average of eight pages on concrete solutions that are changing the world. The goal: to inspire readers to become actors of change.
Sparknews is a social enterprise that identifies and promotes initiatives with a high social impact through three tools: a collaborative video platform (www.sparknews.com), Impact Journalism Day (and its variations) and business consulting missions. Impact Journalism Day brings together the editors of the world's largest newspapers, the result of a collective effort but above all of a very strong social sensitivity on the part of its founder, Christian de Boisredon. He says it himself: "The impact of journalism is the double impact that a journalist can have: it has a first impact when he denounces a problem and alerts us, but it can have a double impact when he presents, in addition, a concrete solution that responds to this problem, giving us clues to act.
